Rimowa came to us for a collaboration with Pokémon, built around the franchise's 30th anniversary. The brief asked for a real meeting between the two worlds, with both universes fully present in a single object. We started with the product. The Rimowa silhouette, its grooved aluminium shell, its proportions, was redrawn to live inside the Pokémon universe. The forms carry both signatures at once, the precision of Rimowa and the texture of Pokémon, so the case feels like it always belonged there. From there we staged a handful of Pokémon with the products, building compositions where character and object share the same line and volume. The grooves of the shell answer the shape of the Pokémon, the surfaces talk to each other, and the whole thing reads as one design. Thirty years of Pokémon, seen through Rimowa's craft, for an object that lands with both audiences.
