Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Branding agency in London

Why choose Bruno as a branding agency in London?

Because Bruno works on both sides of the Channel with one team, and knows what changes from one market to the other. The Blackfriars Road office draws on the whole agency, around 40 staff spread across Paris, Rouen, London and San Francisco. For a French brand, that means a partner who knows both its audiences. For a British brand, a fresh pair of eyes from across the water.

Where can you find Bruno in London?

Bruno’s London office is at 32 Blackfriars Road, SE1 8PB, in Southwark, just south of the Thames. Southwark Underground station is a few minutes’ walk away. UK client workshops are held there. Paris is only an hour ahead, which leaves very few excuses for missing a meeting.

What does a branding project run from London include?

A branding project run from London covers the same ground as in Paris: strategy, verbal identity and visual identity. The difference is the working language. Interviews, positioning and tone of voice are done in English from day one, with close attention to what British audiences expect. Your documents won’t read like a translation.

Which international brands has Bruno built?

Bruno has worked on several brands designed for an international audience. Kotcha, the community running app founded by double Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge, was shaped from strategy to design, right through to filming its ads. Audion, which runs ad campaigns across podcasts, streaming and digital radio, lacked presence: its new identity gives sound a physical shape. Two brands built to carry far.

Should a French brand hide where it’s from to succeed in London?

Rarely, and Bruno usually advises choosing what to keep instead. A French touch can be reassuring in luxury, food or design, and feel beside the point for B2B software. What tends to jar is a word-for-word translated tone that comes across as a bit much to British ears. A well-placed understatement usually beats an imported superlative.

Can Bruno plan a brand launch in the UK?

Yes. Bruno also handles brand launches once the identity is ready. The plan sets out who should discover the new brand first, your teams, your customers or the press, and in what order. For a brand arriving in London, that often means a campaign and an English-language website going live together. A new brand nobody notices is still the old brand.

How long does branding take when it’s in two languages?

Bruno allows three to five months on average for a full branding project, whether it’s run in English, in French or in both. Writing two versions of the tone of voice adds a little time. Beyond that, it comes down to the scope, who signs off and what you’re keeping from the current brand. If some of them are in Paris and others in London, pencil a Eurostar into the programme.
