Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Digital web agency in Manchester

Why choose Bruno as your digital web agency in Manchester?

Bruno designs, builds and develops your site with a single in-house team, with no middleman. For a Manchester business, that means one point of contact for the interface, the code and everything after launch. The agency is a Framer Expert, which means your team can post updates on its own. The code, meanwhile, stays in safe hands.

Which office runs Bruno’s Manchester projects?

Bruno runs Manchester projects from London, at 32 Blackfriars Road, as the agency has no office in the city. The train from Euston takes about two hours, which makes in-person workshops easy to organise. In between, work carries on over video and on the shared prototype. If your brand is French, the Paris team joins in.

What does “digital” actually cover in a web project?

In a web project, digital means the whole online experience, from the first click to the latest update. Bruno splits it into two disciplines that work together: digital and UX/UI to design, web development to build. A website, an app or a back office all follow the same logic.

Which web projects has Bruno delivered?

For Shares, Bruno’s designers and developers created the branding and visual guidelines, then put the website live. For Ornikar, the rebrand ran from art direction to the product itself, by way of UX/UI, illustration and the web. Neither is from Manchester. Both show what one team can do, from identity to code.

Does a media company at MediaCity have particular web needs?

Yes, and Bruno is used to content brands whose sites have to show audio or video without slowing down. In Salford, MediaCity has hosted part of the BBC since 2011, and ITV since. Bruno refreshed the website of Ausha, a podcast platform, and created the identity of Audion, a digital audio advertising platform. Sound can be designed too.

Can a website look good and still load fast on mobile?

Yes, as long as Bruno thinks about performance from the design stage rather than fixing it afterwards. Images, animation and fonts all add to loading time, so we choose them knowing how heavy they are on a phone on 4G. After launch, performance optimisation is part of maintenance. A visitor in a hurry doesn’t give second chances.

Can a website be done in a few weeks?

Rarely, since designing and building a site with Bruno usually takes two to four months. And that’s only an average: an editorial site with a CMS doesn’t move at the pace of a platform connected to your tools, and a five-person sign-off committee stretches every stage. Key dates are set before the first workshop, train journey included.
