Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Web design agency in San Antonio

Why choose Bruno as your web design agency in San Antonio?

Because Bruno has the user journey tested before building anything, then builds it with its own people. No freelancer picks up the project halfway through. You keep the same contacts from site map to launch, whether they sit in San Francisco or Paris. And your feedback goes straight to the people doing the design.

How does Bruno run a project in San Antonio?

Bruno runs San Antonio projects from its San Francisco office, at 415 Mission St, as the agency has no office in Texas. Workshops and design reviews happen over video with the project’s designers, and the prototype opens from a simple link. One useful clarification: we mean San Antonio, Texas, not the harbor town on Ibiza.

What’s the difference between web design and web development?

Web design decides what the site shows and how people move through it; development makes it work. At Bruno, the first is UX/UI, the second is web development, and both teams work together from the first mockups. In a house, one would be the interior designer and the other the builder. Best if they have lunch together.

What work can Bruno show?

For Work With Island, a maker of acoustic booths, Bruno went from strategy all the way to the e-commerce site, with an identity that mixes Bauhaus with mass-market cues. For Weglot, whose business is translating websites, the agency redesigned the identity around a prism. One site that sells, and one brand that helps other sites speak.

When can San Antonio, San Francisco and Paris all talk?

With Bruno, the easiest shared window is the San Antonio morning. Texas runs on Central time: at 9 a.m. your time, it’s 7 a.m. in San Francisco and 4 p.m. in Paris. Three-way calls land mid-morning in Texas, before Paris signs off. After that, each team gets on with its part, and the prototype keeps track of what was said.

What is a clickable prototype for?

A clickable prototype lets Bruno check that a journey works before anyone starts building it. You open it on your phone, look for something, tap the wrong spot, and that’s exactly what we want to see. Our co-founder Barthélémy Chalvet worked this way on the Uber Works app, tested with restaurant owners. Fixing a prototype takes an hour. Fixing a live site takes a lot longer.

How long does a web design project take?

For a site that’s designed and then built, Bruno allows two to four months on average. The range stretches or tightens depending on the number of page templates, how much content is ready and how many people need to approve. The time zones don’t slow anything down: between Texas, California and Paris, someone is almost always working on your site.
