Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Web design agency in Los Angeles

Why choose Bruno as your web design agency in Los Angeles?

Because at Bruno, your site’s designers and its developers belong to one team, with no subcontractor in between. Our San Francisco team works on your clock, which helps when a design needs sign-off by tonight. And Bruno is a Framer Expert, so the prototype you approve looks very close to the site that goes live.

Does Bruno have an office in Los Angeles?

No. Bruno’s nearest office is in San Francisco, at 415 Mission St. Both cities run on Pacific time, so your working day and ours line up completely. Most of the work happens over video and through prototypes shared as a link. For an in-person kickoff workshop, it’s about ninety minutes in the air.

What does a web design agency do?

A web design agency decides what your visitors see, in what order, and how they get from one page to the next. At Bruno, that UX/UI work starts with the site map, becomes a clickable prototype, then goes to our in-house developers for the build. The look draws on your visual identity, or nudges it forward when it has fallen behind.

Which websites and digital products has Bruno designed?

Bruno has worked with Xola since 2012, on a booking platform for tourism and leisure businesses, designed from day one for phones, tablets, desktops and kiosks. For Ornikar, the rebrand went all the way to the UX/UI and the website, just as the driving school was moving into insurance. Two projects, one rule: the interface serves the journey.

How do you show lots of images and video without slowing your site down?

Bruno picks what deserves to move, then loads the rest at the right moment. In Los Angeles, plenty of brands live on imagery, from film to fashion, and the temptation is to put everything on the homepage. We’d rather have one well-placed video than ten fighting for the screen. Images are compressed and sized to the device, so the site stays quick on a phone.

Can we start designing a website before all the copy is written?

Yes. Bruno can start the design without final copy, as long as we know what each page needs to say. The site map and key messages come first; the mockups then use draft copy at the right length, not lorem ipsum. Our copywriters can write the final version. A three-word headline and a twelve-word one don’t get designed the same way.

How long does a web design project take?

Bruno typically delivers a full website, design and build, in two to four months. That figure moves a lot with the number of page templates, the state of your content and how many people need to sign off. A marketing site with its copy ready often lands at the short end. With the San Francisco team on your clock, feedback rounds don’t lose a day.
