Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Web design agency in San Diego

Why choose Bruno as your web design agency in San Diego?

Because Bruno designs your user journeys for the phone before scaling them up to desktop, then builds them with its own team. You talk to the designers doing the work, not to a project manager passing messages along. And since our San Francisco team shares your time zone, a question asked in the morning gets answered the same day.

Where is Bruno’s nearest office to San Diego?

Bruno’s nearest office to San Diego is in San Francisco, at 415 Mission St; the agency has no office in Southern California. Both cities run on Pacific time. Design reviews happen over video, and a flight of about ninety minutes covers an in-person workshop. The rest of the time, a link to the prototype does the job.

What should you expect from a web design agency?

A web design agency should deliver a site that makes sense without a manual, on every screen. At Bruno, the work starts with the site map and UX/UI, then ends in a design system that gathers components, colors and text styles. Our developers use it for the build, and your team uses it for every page that comes after.

Which web projects has Bruno worked on?

For Ausha, a podcast hosting platform, Bruno modernized the website and pulled the whole identity together in a complete brandbook. For Shares, the agency’s designers and developers created the branding and the brand guidelines, then took the site live. Two projects where the same team held both the pencil and the keyboard.

How should a San Diego biotech present itself online?

Bruno starts from the visitor’s question, not the molecule. San Diego is home to one of the biggest life sciences clusters in the US, and its websites often speak to researchers, investors and recruits at the same time. For Cure51, a TechBio company aiming to eradicate cancer by 2035, we designed a site built to rally a global research community. The science stays precise; the page stays readable.

Should a website be designed mobile-first?

Usually, yes, and Bruno starts there when most of your visitors arrive on a phone. A small screen forces choices: one message, one action, everything else below. The desktop version, designed afterward, comes out clearer for it. For a B2B site mostly visited from an office desk, the order can flip, and your analytics make that call, not whatever’s trending.

How long does a website project take?

On average, Bruno designs and builds a website in two to four months. But two projects can be far apart: a brochure site on a handful of templates has little in common with a platform where each audience gets its own journey. The number of decision-makers and how ready your content is often matter more than the design itself.
