Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Web design agency in Philadelphia

Why choose Bruno as your web design agency in Philadelphia?

Because Bruno thinks about the brand and the website together, with a team of around forty people who are all on staff, no freelancers. You talk to the designer drawing your pages, and they talk to the developer sitting next to them. When your organization speaks to several audiences, that closeness stops gaps opening up between what was planned and what ships.

Which office handles Bruno’s Philadelphia projects?

Bruno runs Philadelphia projects from its San Francisco office, at 415 Mission St, bringing in the Paris team as needed. The agency has no office on the East Coast. You’re three hours ahead of California, so your afternoons meet our mornings, and that’s when video design reviews get booked. The shared prototype covers the rest, whenever suits you.

What is a web design agency for?

A web design agency turns what an organization wants to say into pages people can move through without effort. It builds the site map, designs the experience and the interface, then checks it all on a prototype before any code. At Bruno, that UX/UI work often runs alongside brand strategy, because a confusing website almost always betrays a confusing message.

Which websites has Bruno designed for tech brands?

For Elevo, a talent management platform, Bruno designed the identity and the website around one idea: technology can feel calmer and easier to read. For Qonto, the agency handled the digital design and development of the site back when a neobank still had to prove it was serious. Two technical products, two sites that need no manual.

How do you design a website for a Philadelphia university or health system?

Bruno starts with the audiences, not the pages. Universities and hospitals carry a lot of weight in Philadelphia’s economy, and their sites have to serve students, patients, researchers and new hires all at once. We build the site map around what each of them came to do, not around internal departments. A patient in a hurry should never have to wade through the donors’ page.

Should we rebrand before we redesign our website?

Not necessarily first, but Bruno recommends settling the question at the outset. If the brand needs to change, it’s better to run the identity and the website together; otherwise the new site launches with an identity that’s already on its way out. That’s the route we took with Elevo. If the brand holds up, the site can move ahead on its own, built on your existing guidelines.

How long does it take to create a website?

Bruno generally allows two to four months for a website, from the first workshop to launch. That’s only an average. A site built alongside a new identity takes longer, and so does an institution with several approval committees. On the other hand, a clear scope and a single decision-maker shorten the schedule considerably.
