Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Web design agency in New York

Why choose Bruno as your web design agency in New York?

Because Bruno designs your site with designers, copywriters and developers who are all on staff, with no hand-offs between them. What gets said in a workshop makes it into the code intact. Between San Francisco and Paris, the agency covers a good part of your New York day. And it has built sites that had to earn trust fast, in finance especially.

How does Bruno work with New York companies?

Bruno runs New York projects remotely from San Francisco and Paris, since the agency has no office in the city. The time difference works in your favor: your mornings overlap with the Paris afternoon, your afternoons with the California morning. Design reviews happen over video, with the designer who drew the screens. The prototype opens just fine on the subway.

What does a web design project include?

A web design project covers the site structure, the navigation experience and the interface, up to an approved prototype. At Bruno, our copywriters write while the designers draw, so no page gets designed around copy that doesn’t exist yet. It all falls under digital and UX/UI, and the build happens under the same roof.

Which web projects has Bruno delivered?

For La Première Brique, which lets anyone invest in property from a single euro, Bruno reworked the brand, the website and the interface so it would look credible without losing its knack for explaining things. For LegalPlace, the site and app use a pared-back art direction in black, white and golden beige. Money and law: in both, clarity comes first.

How can a fintech website win over New Yorkers used to big banks?

Bruno starts with restraint, then lets the product prove itself. In a city where the big financial institutions set the tone, a young brand has to look solid before it looks original. For Qonto, we went with plenty of white and black, then let visitors take the app for a spin on the website itself, without signing up. Nothing reassures like a product you’ve already tried.

How do you explain a complex offer on the homepage?

Bruno starts with a single sentence: what you do, for whom, and what changes for them. Until that sentence holds up, no screen gets designed. The rest of the page brings proof in the order visitors ask their questions, not in the order of your org chart. Internal jargon goes last. It usually puts up the biggest fight.

How long does it take to design and build a website?

Plan on two to four months on average with Bruno for a site that’s designed and built. The real timeline depends a lot on where you start: a brand that already knows what it stands for moves faster than one still figuring it out. The number of decision-makers matters too, especially with headquarters in Europe and a sales team in New York. We set the schedule together at kickoff.
