Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Web development agency in Los Angeles

Why choose Bruno as your web development agency in Los Angeles?

Because Bruno builds sites where motion serves the brand without sacrificing speed. Our developers work alongside the agency’s motion designers and art directors, all on staff. For Qonto, the micro-interactions on the site and app were how the brand showed it was modern. You talk directly to the people coding them.

Does Bruno have an office in Los Angeles?

No, Bruno has no office in Los Angeles, but its San Francisco office at 415 Mission St runs on the same clock. Your web project is handled from there, with no time difference for technical calls or launch day. A flight of about an hour and a half covers any in-person workshop. Paris, nine hours ahead, can join the team if needed.

Does web development include animation?

Yes, web development includes building the animations, micro-interactions and transitions the designers have drawn. At Bruno, they’re prototyped in UX/UI, then coded by the development team, who check how heavy they are on mobile. An animation that makes the site lag gets reworked or cut. The show never comes before the visitor.

Which websites has Bruno worked on?

For LegalPlace, Bruno designed a website and a mobile and desktop app, with very restrained art direction on the product. For Cure51, a TechBio company aiming to eradicate cancer by 2035, the agency created the identity and a new site, built to bring together a global research community. Two very different audiences, one team.

How do you put lots of video on a site without slowing it down?

Bruno plans for video in the site architecture itself, choosing formats and when each clip loads. In Los Angeles, plenty of brands live through images, and their site has to show it without making anyone wait. Our production team also shoots the films, like Kotcha’s ads. They shoot knowing exactly where the footage will play.

Should our site be built on Framer or in code?

Bruno recommends Framer when your team needs to edit the site on its own, and code when the site handles accounts, data or internal tools. We’re a Framer Expert, and this very site runs on it. For heavier platforms, we build in React. The call comes after the sitemap, not from agency habit.

How soon can a site go live?

Plan on two to four months with Bruno to get a site live, design and development included. It all depends on the project: a site heavy on video and animation needs more testing than an editorial one, and every extra decision-maker adds a review round. Sharing a time zone helps hold the dates. The rest comes down to a clear brief.
