Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Web development agency in Philadelphia

Why choose Bruno as your web development agency in Philadelphia?

Because Bruno puts designers and developers in one team of around 40 people, all on staff. The developer who answers you is the one writing the code, and they know the brand. The two founders embody that mix: Barthélémy Chalvet, a product designer who worked at Uber, and Léonard Chalvet, a developer trained at École 42. The agency kept both instincts.

What’s it like working with Bruno from Philadelphia?

Bruno runs your project remotely from its San Francisco office, having no address on the East Coast. Philadelphia is three hours ahead of California, so your late mornings are our early starts. Paris, six hours ahead of you, can pick up some of the work. Check-ins happen over video, and a trip gets planned when the project calls for one.

Why hire the same agency for design and development?

Web development goes faster and lands better when the people coding watched the designs take shape. At Bruno, the UX/UI and development teams work side by side, so a question gets settled by turning to the next desk. Trade-offs happen early, while they’re still easy. And nobody passes the buck after launch.

Which brands have trusted Bruno with their website?

Several brands have handed Bruno their website, often along with their identity. Celeres, which specializes in mission-critical software for space and defense, got a complete identity and a new site. Ausha had its site modernized, with a brand book to go with it. Two specialist fields where a site has to explain before it can charm.

Can you build a website for a university or a healthcare organization in Philadelphia?

Yes, Bruno has designed sites for healthcare and research, two sectors that carry real weight in a city of universities and hospitals. Cure51, a TechBio company studying survivors of the most aggressive cancers, has a site built for a community of researchers. Primary designs medical practices that stay close to their patients. In these fields, a site has to be understood first.

Can you take over a site built by another agency?

Yes, Bruno takes over existing sites, but always starts by examining the code before committing. We look at how the site is built, what can stay and what’s holding everything back. Sometimes a cleanup is enough; sometimes starting over is faster. Better to learn that before signing than halfway through the job.

How much time should we allow for a web development project?

Most of Bruno’s web projects run between two and four months, design included. That varies a lot: taking over an existing site, connecting a booking tool or a customer portal, or adding reviewers stretches it. Content that’s ready shortens it. Since design and code move together, no week gets lost in a handoff.
