Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Branding agency in New York

Why choose Bruno as a branding agency in New York?

Because Bruno works on both sides of the Atlantic and knows what gets lost between Paris and Manhattan. A French brand arriving in New York usually has to rewrite its message rather than translate it; a New York brand heading to Europe faces the reverse. Our strategists, copywriters and designers are all on staff, and you talk to them directly.

Does Bruno have a team in New York?

No, Bruno has neither an office nor a team in New York. Projects are run from San Francisco, at 415 Mission St, and often from Paris when the brand is French: only six hours apart, with direct flights for the meetings that matter. Everything else happens over video. Nobody here will pretend to have a Fifth Avenue address.

What does branding cover at Bruno?

Branding, the way Bruno does it, brings together three identities: strategic, verbal and visual. The first sets the positioning and the pitch everyone repeats, the second the tone and sometimes the name, the third the logo and art direction. They’re built in that order. A visual identity without a strategy is a suit with nobody inside.

Which finance and B2B software brands has Bruno worked with?

Several finance and B2B software brands have worked with Bruno. La Première Brique, which makes real estate investing accessible from €1, wanted to move from a community feel to a credible finance player. Batch, a mobile-first CRM platform, even got its acronym rewritten: Cleverly Rapid & Magnetic. And Qonto laid the foundations of its brand world with the agency.

Does a French brand need a different message for New York?

Bruno’s answer is almost always yes for the message, rarely for the visual identity. A claim that reassures in Paris can sound timid in Manhattan, where buyers sit through pitch after pitch. Our strategists rewrite the narrative and the spoken pitch in English with your US team, rather than translating the French version. The logo usually travels just fine.

What is a spoken pitch, and why have one?

Bruno calls a spoken pitch the few sentences anyone in the company should be able to say when asked what it does. It’s part of brand strategy, just like positioning. At a trade show or in an elevator, nobody reads your brand guidelines. People listen to what you say, then decide if your name is worth remembering.

What’s the typical timeline for a branding project?

Three to five months: that’s the average length of a full branding project run by Bruno, from strategy to visual identity. If all you need is the strategy and a pitch for your first New York meetings, four to eight weeks can be enough. The rest depends heavily on your starting point and on how many people decide, especially when they’re split across two continents.
