Bruno is the grandfather of our founders, Barthélémy and Léonard. An Italian immigrant, he built everything from scratch: his businesses, his family. It must be said that he was a man of great courage and an intense worker. Bruno didn’t wait for someone else to do things for him. Yet, his demands never prevented him from being profoundly human.

FAQ

Graphic design agency in Washington DC

Why choose Bruno as your graphic design agency in Washington DC?

Because Bruno knows how to give a brand weight without making it heavy, which is often what organizations in the capital are after. The whole team is on staff, so you talk to the art director doing the drawing, not a go-between. The visual identity comes out of a written strategy, which makes it easier to defend in front of a board. And it ships with its usage rules.

Which Bruno office handles projects in Washington?

Washington projects are run by the San Francisco office, at 415 Mission St; Bruno has no office on the East Coast. Paris, at 27 rue de Liège, can join in, six hours ahead of you. Between the two, your working day is covered. Presentations happen over video, or in person when the stakes call for it.

What does a graphic design project at Bruno include?

A graphic design project runs from art direction all the way to how the identity looks on your real materials, from a conference badge to an annual report. The visual identity can include in-house illustration, motion design or 3D. For imagery, our production team handles the shoots. It all lands in guidelines your team can actually apply.

Has Bruno worked for organizations where credibility is everything?

Yes, Bruno has worked for several brands where credibility isn’t up for debate. AIUC, which certifies and insures AI agents, needed the rigor of a standard, and its identity carries that authority. Celeres builds the software behind mission-critical systems in space, defense and public services. And Varsity, a European venture capital fund, went for an identity that feels warm and human.

Does Bruno work with public institutions?

Yes, Bruno has worked within the strict framework of a government body. For the Alaska State Archives, we redesigned the entire interface while respecting a state government’s institutional constraints, and brought the archive material to the front. For a federal agency, a foundation or an association in Washington, the principle holds. Rules first, then elegance.

Can a brand be recognized without its logo?

Yes, if its visual identity rests on more than a logo, and Bruno often builds it that way. LegalPlace is the example: a hand-drawn illustration style, made in-house, that lets people spot the brand on TV or in the subway before they read its name. It’s hard to copy. That’s exactly the point.

How long does it take to design a graphic identity?

Bruno generally delivers a graphic identity in two to three months. For a Washington organization, the schedule depends mostly on the approval path: a board, a committee, sometimes several legal teams. An identity built from scratch also takes longer than a refresh. We set the dates at kickoff and flag when your decision-makers will be needed.
